The program consists of classes each week-night as our residents learn about addiction and how to have a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. The sole purpose of the program is to help the men build a deep relationship with God through a better understanding of His Word and His Son. This is not a half way house as God does nothing half way. It is a Christian discipleship training program that helps men become new and regenerated by God. We believe in what the Bible teaches about seeking God and His righteousness and all the rest of life's issues and problems will be taken care of Matt. 6:33. We believe in the fact that when anyone calls on the name of Jesus they shall be saved and changed. It is clear in 2 Cor. 5:17 that old things, including addictions have passed away and behold all things are NEW. The men work during the day and return to the minsitry house by 6pm. After a time of sharing in what we call Circle Up we then share food and fellowship. Each night after clean-up time, a one hour class is held where the topics vary from addiction education and a Christ centered 12 step teaching to a Bible study or the preaching of the Word. Each night we also have a quiet time for introspection and meditation. In this time they complete a Daily Moral Inventory and write a Daily Personal Journal. They journal to God, seeking answers and guidance. We combine this with personal counseling and regular weekly Church attendance to give the men a well rounded program. We have a variety of guest speakers and guests who also share from the Bible or other life experiences to help each man grow in his life in Christ. The program also requires each man to take self improvement classes while here, such as G.E.D. classes and computer skills courses. Each week they have homework to turn in that is individualized for each man. We offer homework in the areas of anger management, forgiveness, dealing with their past, trauma issues, as well as Bible studies to help them grow spiritually. The progam is divided into two parts. Phase One lasts six-months and, depending on their progress, they will then graduate into our Phase Two class for the next six months, until graduation from the ministry. In Phase Two, they are given the opportunity to train and be a part of leadership within the ministry. They also begin to step up in becoming responsible men of God. Our program is run with a great amount of emphasis placed on accountabilty in their lives. They learn to be accountable to God, others and themselves while here.
